Starting Blocks
A Townhall Style Meeting:
Starting Blocks was created to help our members 'run the race' of recovery. After all you are more likely to succeed unless you give yourself the best start. Over the years we at Brampton Prison Ministry have noticed that newly released members often deal with similar struggles when it comes to how they integrate into the community.

The Struggles...
No matter how long someone in recovery has been back in the community, some common struggles continue to crop up. Things like employment, health care, friendships, relationships, housing, follow-up treatment, etc. are always just around the corner ready to pounce on you when you're least suspecting it.
The Wisdom...
There's no one solution or strategy for any of these struggles. Thankfully for everyone who's currently struggling, there's people who have found a way to cope. Starting Blocks is designed to be like a brainstorming session. Every month we examine a pertinent topic and everyone attending has the chance to share not only their struggles with the topic, but the solutions they may have found for themselves.
This allows the collective wisdom of the group to prevail. We don't expect to be ever completely eliminate these issues for people. We DO have the chance to make things a little more bearable. There's power in numbers, strength in our wisdom and potential in all of us.
Starting Blocks is a monthly Zoom meeting held on the last Tuesday of the month. To sign up for an invite, fill out the form below and we'll get back to you.
